My First Blog Entry for "Those Midnight Blues" Show

Hello One & All -

Welcome to the first entry of this Blog!
First... a simple & short introductions, I am John "OneChord" Connors, just a guy and nothing special. I host a Blues radio show, "Those Midnight Blues" on a local college radio station, WWPV 88.7 FM.

I am always looking for new music specifically in the Blues genre but I am open to new ideas and suggestions. In fact, my favorite music has been suggested to me by my friends, musicians and other people.

I am not new to technology, the Internet, or blogging (mostly a reader but occasionally writing now), so I am curious to see what experiences are in store for me.

Here is a short overview of my show from the WWPV website :

"Spanning the decades of Blues, from the earliest roots to the most current Blues artists and music including Jump Blues, Straight-ahead Blues, Acoustic Blues, Delta Blues, Country Blues, Chicago Blues, Kansas City Blues, Electric Blues, ... and any music inspired by this great musical style. I "intend" each show to have a guiding theme or thread ranging from "The Women Who Sing the Blues" (one of my favorites), "The Great Ones Who Started It All", to featuring the various instruments such as harmonica, guitar, electric guitar, piano, and horns. The playlists will include the Old Bluesmen & Blueswomen as well as local & regional talent. For those times where "you gotta sing the Blues", this will be your show to find those grooves, swings, jumps, shuffles or boogies you need to start the second half of your week."
