I went to a Blues show at the fabled Nectar's in Burlington, VT where I saw Greg Izor blowing a mean & soulful Blues harps. The rythym section was anchored by none other than Jason Corbiere, the drummer for one of my most favorite bands, Roomful of Blues. Greg, Jason and the rest of the guys put on a great show. It's been awhile since I have closed a bar. Jason and Greg are putting on another show on Christmas at Nectar's with the first set starting at 9:30pm. The people at Nectar's tell me there will be no cover charge.
I spoke with Greg after the show and told him how much I loved the show. He gave me his card so I could call him and talk about my Blues radio show. After a little phone tag, we got into contact and have set a date of Jan. 6 where Greg will be my special honored co-host for a special Friday edition of "Those Midnight Blues" starting at 5pm.
It will be quite a privilege to speak to a young upcoming Bluesman with Vermont connections.
