Not Fully Recovered, but Back with New Music!

Hi Ho Midnight Blues Fans!

I am recovering from my bout with some sort of lingering annoying flu. I have some new music for everyone. It is new music from Northern Blues which was sent to WWPV but I think you will like it. There is a new release from Watermelon Slim & The Workers, Brian Blain's "Overqualifed for the Blues", Doug Cox & Sam Harrie's "Hungry Ghosts", Dan Treanor & Frankie Lee's 2004 release "African Wind" (Blues played with hand made African instruments, Dan calls it "Afrosippi"). From Alligator, we received a new Little Charlie & the Nightcats 2005 release "Nine Lives" to celebrate their three Blues Music Award nominations. I will also be highlighting Marcia Ball to celebrate her Grammy and Blues Music Award nominations.

Due to my recovery, I am feeling very acoustical Blues tonight. Only your requests can dissaude me. Of course, I will play something from my Roomful of Blues collection. But what?

Out Sick !!!

Hello Midnight Blues Fans --

Due to an unexpected forceful clobbering by some flu-like symptoms, I will not be able to do my show this evening.

Please give the DJs who so graciously offered to substitute on short notice, Mary Cate and Chris, a warm Midnight Blues welcome this evening.

Hello PV Midnight Blues Fans!

With the start of the new year, there are new releases! We have received new and upcoming releases from Saffire - The Uppity Blues Women, John Long's debut CD, "Lost & Found", Lee Rocker's new solo effort "Racin' with the Devil, Jimmy Thackery's new compilation, and a new release by Rev. Billy C. Wirtz.

I will be playing tracks from the new releases and CDs as well as currently nominated artists for Blues Music Awards such as The Mannish Boys, Magic Slim, Tommy Castro, Marcia Ball, Little Charlie & the Nighthawks, Shemekia Copeland and Bettye Lavette to name only a few.
